Heavy vertical-load supports
Bored piles are high-capacity deep foundations constructed from cast-in-place concrete. Bored piles are typically used to support building foundations with large vertical loads. The installation process involves the removal of spoil by drilling a vertical hole, followed by the insertion of reinforced concrete, which is poured in situ. Depending on the ground conditions, the bored piling rig can be fitted with specially designed drilling tools to remove the soil and/or rock.
